Atheists Are Not Made of Straw

It's telling that the only atheists that the freakazoids and faitheists are willing or able to confront are the strawmen they create to comfort themselves.

Atheists don’t believe in a god.  Therefore, we are not offended by such a god.  We honestly couldn’t give two shits about a god. It’s the muddleheads who think that atheists are angry at god that piss us off. It’ the shysters who peddle god to the masses who offend us.  It’s the deluded who try to get a fictitious god into our politics and school systems who we fight actively against.

Is this REALLY such a difficult concept to understand?

Seriously. Not to mention the crusaders and jihadists that dominate our global discourse. If you don’t believe in god, it might offend you to see people fly airplanes into buildings or do other heinous things in his name. I am also offended by people who are apologists for evil done in the name of their god, from old testament genocide to present day bigotry and all of the violence in between.
