Hemp "Hero" Hornback Pushing State-Mandated Rape

Stop celebrating Kentucky state senator Paul Hornback for sponsoring the industrial hemp bill (from which he, as a tobacco farmer who got a field burned by the feds after they found pot in it, stands to make a fortune) and get a gander at the "vaginal unltrasound" abortion bill he's pushing.

No, it's not jelly-on-the-belly mousing. It's forcing doctors to shove a 10-inch stick into a woman against her will. That's object rape and in Kentucky it's supposed to be a violent felony.

But the fetus-fetishists aren't satisfied with just slut-shaming and controlling women's bodies. No, the pro-life perverts can only get off by making their rape fantasies come true.

But Sen. Kathy Stein — leader of the “Don’t Rape Women Twice” Senate caucus, along with Louisville’s Perry Clark, Denise Harper-Angel and young pup Morgan McGarvey — wasn’t about to let this bill pass without the other senators knowing exactly what they were voting for.

In her questioning, she gets Hornback to fully admit that there is no rape exemption in his bill, and that most abortions will require a doctor to use a transvaginal ultrasound, as 90 percent of abortions are in the first 14 weeks.

Hornback later attempted to backtrack, saying that not every abortion required the Kentucky Wand of Small Government Liberty, but 10 percent certainly ain’t much. Hornback also mentioned how the 24-hour waiting period is no big deal, because that is also required for men who want a vasectomy.

Stein was delighted to hear Hornback mentioned this, and added a follow up question:

“But are they forced to have a rectal exam?” asked Stein. “Which certainly goes along with male anatomy to determine whether or not the male genatalia, whether there are any issues there.”

Hornback gulped and answered in the negative.

“Well obviously that’s very invasive,” Stein countered. “And women have another area to invade, and that’s what I believe this bill does. I know it will pass, but I wanted to alert the committee and folks that things have changed since we first started this.”

But what hasn’t changed? Conservative men of both parties in Kentucky’s state Senate having no respect for the intelligence, privacy and rights of women.

Call or email your state representatives and tell them voting for this bill makes them rapists once removed.

Fighting the Fight: Gun Control in Kentucky

Kentucky has some of the weakest gun laws in the nation.  On the Brady Campaign's 100-point scale, Kentucky gets a ... 2.  Not twenty. Two.

That might discourage some people from even trying to inject some reality into Kentucky statutes. But for three Kentucky lawmakers, it's a challenge and an opportunity.

In the aftermath of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, a trio of liberal Kentucky lawmakers unveiled a wide-ranging gun control bill Thursday.

The measure, among other things, would repeal a controversial state law that bars local governments from regulating guns. It also would prohibit guns on college campuses and require background checks for private gun sales to close the so-called "gun-show loophole."

It is competing against several pro-gun measures that already have been introduced in this year's General Assembly. They include House Bill 168, sponsored by Rep. Bob Damron, D-Nicholasville, which states that Kentucky would not recognize federal statutes and regulations that deny or abridge the right to keep and bear arms.

The gun-control measure was unveiled in a Capitol news conference that attracted about 50 proponents. Some wore shirts that carried the names of gun victims.

"A growing number of people are seeking sensible changes to keep children safe and protect citizens in light of the mass murder of schoolchildren in Newtown, Conn.," said Rep. Jim Wayne, D-Louisville.

He was joined by Rep. Mary Lou Marzian, D-Louisville, and Sen. Kathy Stein, D-Lexington. The lawmakers plan to file identical legislation in the House and Senate.

The legislators acknowledged that the proposal will meet stiff resistance from many of their colleagues, but they said they look forward to starting a debate on the issue.

Granted, Wayne, Marzian and Stein represent liberal districts whose constituents will applaud the measure, so they risk little electorally.

It's the "starting a debate" part that's risky - but essential.

No, Kathy: Don't Apologize

The proper response is: "Stop being a narrow-minded nimrod and I'll stop calling you a narrow-minded nimrod."

Not that you have to worry about it; he's going to continue to be a narrow-minded nimrod for a long time - almost as long as he's going to continue to be a hateful, vicious, lying, moronic, repug freakazoid.

State Sen. Kathy Stein, D-Lexington, said she will apologize to one of her colleagues after calling him a "narrow-minded nimrod" on Facebook over the weekend.

"I thought it was private," Stein said Monday about her comment, which she made on an old blog post about Sen. Mike Wilson, R-Bowling Green, on the liberal Hillbilly Report blog. The blog uses a commenting system powered by Facebook, which means the comment also appeared on Stein's Facebook page.

"This narrow-minded nimrod is now the Chair of the Senate Education Committee — Lord help us," she wrote.

The real problem, of course, is that Kathy Stein is more intelligent, educated, informed and experienced than the entire repug senate caucus put together.  She's also a smart-mouthed Jew in possession of a vagina

Stein's apology may not cut any ice with incoming Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester.

"I just found it very interesting that everybody is attempting to try to have a new tone and discourse different from what it has been in past, and she's made a really inappropriate comment," Stivers said Monday. "Being respectful and conciliatory toward other people is something she always complained about, but apparently she has two different yardsticks by which she measures conduct by."

Stein is one of the most outspoken and liberal members of the Senate, and has sparred frequently with former President David Williams, who left the Senate this fall to accept a judicial appointment by Gov. Steve Beshear.

Earlier this year, the Republican-led Senate attempted to move Stein's Senate district from central Lexington to northeastern Kentucky as part of a broader redistricting plan. Stein was among those who challenged the legality of the plan, which the Kentucky Supreme Court ultimately declared unconstitutional.

They're gonna make you pay, Kathy. Pay and pay and pay and pay.  And not one single one of your supposedly "Democratic" male colleagues is going to whisper a word in your defense - they'll be too busy stabbing you in the back because you show them up to be as bad as the repugs if not worse.

So don't apologize; double down.  Call the motherfucking liars out for lying about fucking their mothers and demand they apologize to you.
