"Common Sense" Stupidity

If you needed any more proof that Dan Mongiardo is a repug with aspirations to become the next Sarah Palin, his latest bleats about "common sense" should be plenty.

Here's the problem with common sense: it leads you to think shit that just ain't true.

• Common sense says the world is flat and the sun revolves around it.
• Common sense says snow in winter means climate change is a hoax.
• Common sense says anyone who doesn't have a penis can't make decisions about her own health.
• Common sense says unemployed people are too lazy to work.
• Common sense says poor people are criminal or worthless and deserve to be poor.
• Common sense says if the police arrest you, you're guilty.
• Common sense says that the federal government should treat the national economy as if it were a family budget.
• Common sense says indiscriminate bombing of civilians will force countries to do what we want.
• Common sense says the 2-1 Democratic voter registration in Kentucky means it's impossible for republicans to win elections here.

Let's have some uncommon sense.
