Yellow Dog said...: Not so much blind as forcibly persuaded over decades that all Democrats are literally evil, and can only be held in check by republicans. No matter how individually terrible said republicans may be, they cannot be as evil as Democrats.

Acquaintance of mine is an elementary school substitute teacher and Democratic party activist. One day a student asked her if she was a Democrat, and when she answered yes, the student said "Why do you hate god?"
