Ripe for the Picking
Yet another repug seat ripe for the taking. From the Herald:
A Kentucky lawmaker who signed a secret sexual harassment settlement along with three fellow Republican legislators said Friday that he won't seek re-election in 2018.Seriously, people, they're dropping like flies. And the ones hanging on are the walking dead. Democrats can take back the Kentucky General Assembly this year, but we've got to have candidate names on those ballots. Deadline for filing is January 26. Cost is $500 for General Assembly races. No, you don't have to spend an additional single dime on campaigning if you don't want to.,
According to the Bowling Green Daily News , Rep. Jim DeCesare of Bowling Green didn't mention the settlement in his announcement and didn't return the newspaper's phone calls about the decision Friday.
Voters are going to be looking for names with a "D" beside them this fall, and they're not going to care about much beyond "not a repug, good."
Let's see some non-white, non-men on the ballot this year. Attica Scott did it. so can you.
