Bevin's Kentucky Will Pay Corporations to Ensure Future Voters Get No Education
As Charlie Pierce warned:
Kentucky's not listening.Charterism is privatization on the public's dime, the worst of all possible worlds. It doesn't matter if the tap gets turned on slowly, or all at once. It's about corporations being allowed by law to get their mitts in the till.
Kentucky Education Commissioner Stephen Pruitt says that if charter schools are inevitable for Kentucky, they should be public, authorized by local school boards and overseen by the state board of education.Charter schools are relieved from certain state and local regulations in exchange for a higher level of accountability. Charter schools may provide programs not available in traditional public schools.Gov. Matt Bevin has said he wants public charter schools in Kentucky.
If you like the way your mobile company and internet company fail to provide service while charging you up the ass, you're going to love the way they mis-educate our kids.
