Your Grammar Nazi

Not sure how this happened to become common  among bloggers old enough to know better, but a long-haired, tie-dye-wearing, pot-smoking advocate of peace and free love is a hippie.

A person who carries excessive weight between the waist and thighs is hippy.

Please stop using the latter to refer to the former; it gives me visions of Abbie Hoffman as Oprah.

Now….go after them for "impact" which USED to be a noun only. Now it's used every which way.
Then there's "troop" meaning individual soldiers, NOT the group it was intended to represent.
And don't forget the use of "myself" such as "Myself, Joe and Emily are going….."

I want to pull by hair out!!!

Agree completely, and don't get me started! It's vs. its, quality unmodified as an adjective, and on and on.
