We MUST get a universal national health care bill passed NOW!!! The way Bob Dole and Newt Gingrich lied about and sabotaged the 1990s Clinton plan just so "private enterprise" could continue to make obscenely high profit off of everyone's sickness and discomfort is the clearest example of Republican short-sightedness and cruelty in all of American history. It is uncivilized. If everyone else in the industrialized world can have a universal, government-run system, then so can we. And as far as everyone else's system being inferior to ours goes, that is a gigantic lie. My Canadian and Dutch friends all think we are barbarians to let our insurance and pharmaceutical industries thrive and prosper off human sickness and misery, and they are absolutely, totally correct!
