Bye-bye, Jack
The state Friday appealed a court ruling that declared unconstitutional the references to God in a law creating the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security.
Attorney General Jack Conway, who represents the state, decided to appeal the ruling because the law in question “merely acknowledges religion” and does not try to establish it, said Shelly Catharine Johnson, deputy communications director for Conway's office.
But Edwin Kagin, a Northern Kentucky attorney who represents the plaintiffs in the case, said the appeal is a waste of taxpayers’ money.
“It's disappointing the attorney general would want to protect a clearly unconstitutional law that attempts to establish a religion in Kentucky,” he said.
The last thing we need in the U.S. Senate is another repug-fellating DINO/Blue Dog like either Conway or Mangy Mongio. Much better to have a corporate-fellating repug like Trey Grayson who at least won't pretend he might support reality-based liberal legislation.
We can also do without a state attorney general who doesn't grasp the concept of separation of church and state. Anybody else up for a recall petition?

O-Kay, BigGuy, now that you've removed your rose-colored Jefferson County Demo dark glasses ... go all out! Support Price or start a campaign for a reasonable replacement.
Good work on Conway's pathetic hicup.
