Add Your Voice to Two Big Petitions on the Public Option
Both Move On and Firedoglake have important petitions on saving the public option.
MoveOn's petition is to the president and reads:
"President Obama, we're counting on you to fight for bold change on health care--including a strong public health insurance option. It's the key to breaking the stranglehold that private insurers have over our health care system."

FireDogLake's petition is to the members of the House of Representatives who have pledged to oppose any health reform bill that lacks a strong public option. It thanks them for their pledge and urges them to keep it.

Great job, Yellow Dog! I've signed both petitions and have passed on this info to others. We've gotta throw these bastardly teabaggers back into the harbor of ignorance where they came from and belong!

Petitions do no good. The ones who read them aren't the decision-makers. The decision-makers who disagree with the p-o-v aren't even going to task a staffer to scan the damn thing and those who agree are out of the decision circle.
O'Bama has been marginalized by the n*gger-haters on the right and this hatred has so much momentum that there may be no recovery. I've spent the last week at Sunny Point Martime Transport Center in N.Carolina and am completely stunned by the visible hatred. Even people of color down here are negatively influenced. The fear is palpable. I'm a senior military official, and I was told by my summer commander (also a reservist) that my credibility was an issue since it was obvious from my car's bumper-sticker that I supported O'Bama. "Don't bother to write your usual report. What ever you have to say is irrelevant - we don't want to hear it & don't care. He's lost the uniformed services with his nazi-ism," said my boss, a flag ranked reservist & elected Democrat in the N.C. legislature.
