Why Ben Chandler is Going to Lose Re-election

In Kentucky, a three-term incumbent Blue Dog who betrays his party to appear as republican as possible is in danger of losing his seat to a genuine repug challenger.

In Florida, a freshman Proud Liberal in a conservative district who grabs every opportunity to call out the repug motherfucking liars for lying about fucking their mothers is watching every viable repug challenger run away in terror.

Kentucky's Sixth District Congressional seat remains a possible pickup for the Democrats - if a real Democrat steps forward to primary Ben Chandler.

The Orlando-area district has generally been quite friendly to Republicans, but last year, Barack Obama won the 8th with 52% support. The same day, district voters elected Rep. Alan Grayson (D), also with 52% of the vote, getting rid of Ric Keller (R) after four terms.

Would Grayson play it safe, hoping to keep his competitive seat by positioning himself as a moderate? Not so much -- Grayson has quickly become a liberal firebrand.

Given the district's right-leaning history, and Grayson's bold pronouncements, the Republican Party is itching to take him on next year. There is, however, a small problem -- the NRCC's top candidates keep passing on the race.

The conventional wisdom suggested the opposite would occur. Given Grayson's notoriety, and unapologetic liberal attitudes, the expectation was that Republicans would be tripping over each other to take him on. For that matters, the NRCC expected fundraising to be a breeze, since far-right activists have quickly come to loathe the freshman Democrat.

And yet, the Republican Party has reached out to four potential candidates, and all of them took a pass.

There may be a larger lesson here for Democratic lawmakers who are reluctant to be audacious.

Take that lesson to heart, audacious Sixth District Liberals. Rep. Grayson's phone number is (202) 225-2176. Call him and ask him what he thinks a real liberal's chances are in Democratic Central Kentucky.

Yarmuth was such a terrific example to Ben for awhile-- now it looks like Ben is backing down.

Grayson's courage is breathtaking and inspiring.

We need some real Dems in the KY Senate to teach their leadership this lesson, instead of settling for legislative crumbs from King David's pork-laden table.

Both Yarmuth and Ben will be at 6th District rally at Red Mile this Saturday the 17th, as well as Wesley Clark. I intend to go and actively listen and watch body language. Y'all come--

It's like a revelation - I just figured out who Anonymous is on this thread.

Not gonna tell, but I know - and you know I know, Anon.

Oh, and by the way, Scout - Grayson is way too liberal to be Obammer's Veep. Obama is in power drift to the right.

Besides, Biden will never resign over this. Or so I think.

Oh Rich,
I know he's too (insert noun & adjective of choice) for O'Bama. O'Bam is crabbing to the right so fast that he's gonna get there before the tide comes in to erase his tracks.
When it comes to Anon ... who the fuck cares????????
There are sooooo meny that their existances have made them trite.
