Silence Give Assent; Shout Your Dissent

You bet I'm disgusted. Infuriated, outraged, sickened. Yes, President Obama is doing exactly what he promised he would do in Afghanistan - which is why it's so wrong.

Nothing that's happened in the last year has influenced him in the slightest. He decided two years ago, as the primaries began, that bygod he was going to escalate in Afghanistan no matter what.

No matter that millions more people are unemployed approaching Great Depression numbers. Never mind that one in four American children needs food stamps to survive. Forget that the crackhead gang that poses as the Afghan "government" has proven itself far more corrupt than anything ever imagined in Saigon. Pay no attention to the lying incompetents running the military for the profit of their raping, murdering corporate buddies.

Facts be damned, full speed ahead.

If that's not Bush III I don't know what is.

But America cannot afford a war that does not make us safer, and Congress has the power to stop the escalation. Vote NO on any spending bill that would send more troops to Afghanistan.
