Who's Afraid of Ashley Judd? Rand Paul

Oh, AynRandy, don't you know that you are supposed to ignore people who don't pose a real threat? Getting up on your tippy-toes and screeching about how a certain somebody could not possibly pose a real threat just reveals the depth of your fear.

Beth Musgrave at the Herald:

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul told a Washington, D.C., radio station Wednesday that actress Ashley Judd was "way damn too liberal for our country and our state."

Judd has been mentioned as a possible Democratic candidate against longtime U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell in 2014 or against Paul in 2016. Washington-based website Politico ran a story this week saying that Judd has talked to several high-ranking Democrats about a run in Kentucky.

Gov. Steve Beshear, a Democrat, on Wednesday did not dismiss Judd as a possible candidate but said that he would not run against McConnell in 2014.
The proper response to press questions about a potential opponent goes something like this:

"I don't believe anyone has declared a candidacy, but I certainly welcome any and all challengers."
Wouldn't surprise me if Ashley Judd took "way too damn liberal" as a challenge.

Especially from a Tribble-toupeed midget who's probably a U of L Cardinals fan.
