Constitution, Reason and Humanity Win Another One

Talking Points Memo:

A judge has ruled Don't Ask, Don't Tell, the military's policy banning openly gay servicemembers, unconstitutional.

The ruling comes after the Log Cabin Republicans filed a lawsuit challenging the policy.

This is the third potentially significant gay rights case this year: A Boston judge in July ruled unconstitutional the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman, and a California judge last month ruled Proposition 8, which amended the California constitution to do the same, unconstitutional.

We'll have more on the DADT ruling tomorrow. For now, you can find the full ruling here.
