Reality: No Such Thing As Clean Coal

Finally! A coalition with some money behind an advertising campaign to debunk the myth of clean coal.

As a bonus, it's proof enviros do too have a sense of humor.

It is indeed a good thing that someone is combatting yet another myth put out by the energy industry!

The only people with an axe to grind here are those seeking something for nothing.

Absolutely accurate that coal is dirty. I've mined it. I've breathed it - with asthma and after breathing aerosol defoliants in VietNam --- the following week, actually.

But the dangerous ones are those wo would have us cease using coal altogether. I'd love to have a Terry Jacks style environment, or any of those bubble-gum groups that will have the world forever holding hands and batheing in the sun while living well with no rain.

They really want free electricity. Not on this planet. Not with our demands for power.

Mine the coal safely with union miners; banish all surface mines; scrub the exhaust vigorously; use the ash creatively. Apply Krugman Economic Theory!
