Tell the Tax Reform Tax Force What to Do

Yeah, they'll cut back-room deals to make sure Big Coal and the one-percenters get to keep fucking over working Kentuckians, but why let them do it the easy way? They're holding public meetings, so call their bluff: show up, make your voice heard, tell them what to do. Get your better ideas on the record.

Page One:

The new tax reform “commission” will hold several meetings across Kentucky through the month of November.

You, as a Kentuckian, need to get as involved in this as you possibly can.

Here are the dates:

April 10, 1 p.m., Capitol Annex, 702 Capitol Ave., Room 154, Frankfort
May 8, 1 p.m., Capitol Annex, 702 Capitol Ave., Room 154, Frankfort
May 29, 6 p.m., Paducah
June 19, 6 p.m., Bowling Green
July 10, 6 p.m., Louisville
July 24, 6 p.m., Covington
Aug 7, 6 p.m., Prestonsburg
Aug 21, 6 p.m., Lexington
Sept 19, 1 p.m., Frankfort
Oct 2, 1 p.m., Frankfort
Nov 8, 1 p.m., Frankfort

Don’t just trust that Frankfort will do the right thing without your help.

Barefoot and Progressive has more details and links:

The Commission has launched a new website to track progress and solicit your ideas. You can sign up to be a presenter at one of their future meetings across the state, or you can submit public comment.

There are very few ideas to reform Kentucky's tax system that are as dumb, ineffective and counter-productive as the system we have now - anything you suggest is bound to be an improvement.

So sign up, show up and speak out.
